97641 - 1996 "THE STATUE OF LIBERTY" lidded stein. This 8 1/2" tall lidded stein was made in Brazil by Ceramarte. The 1st in the "Monuments of Freedom" stein series. Surrounded by raised relief patriotic motifs, a specially commissioned painting by artist Frank Mittelstadt is rich in patriotic symbolism, bringing the eagle, flag and Statue of Liberty together on this stein. The pewter lid recalls the dome of the Capitol building and the thumbrest recreates an American shield. Authorized by the National Park Foundation for the 80th anniversary of the National Park Service. Individually numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Boxed.

Artist Frank Millelstadt again, with his patriotic artwork, honors this landmark for the 80th Anniversary of the Forest Park Service. Joining Lady Liberty is this grand South Dakota landmark, one of the most visited and best loved of all American monumnets. Presidents Washington, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and Jefferson gaze out on the Black Hills landscape as a mighty eagle soars overhead. Individually numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Boxed.
