Released in 1996 & 1997. Each lidded stein is 7 3/4" tall (8" counting the thumblift) and was made in Brazil by Ceramarte. Baseball's best loved vintage ballparks are honored in this nostalgic collection of ceramic and pewter steins, licensed by Major League Baseball. The diamond design on the front features the park's name and years of operation. Raised relief baseball motifs include bats, balls, bricks, banners and bunting. Full color pennant on the front of each stein features the respective team logo. Each stein also includes highlights and facts about each park's history and field dimensions. Each stein features a finely detailed minature stadium replica, on top of the lid and a minature baseball, for the thumblift. The handles of each league's steins face opposite to create a unique display. Each stein comes individually numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Generic brown Longton Crown box.

97701 - 1996 "YANKEE STADIUM" lidded stein. The 1st in the series. The "House That Ruth Built" was the premier ballpark during the game's Golden Age, where so much baseball history was made. Sept 30, 1927 - Babe Ruth smashes his record 60th home run. July 4, 1939 - Lou Gehrig tells the world that he is "The Luckiest Man On The Face Of The Earth." Joe Dimaggio's historic 56 Game Hitting streak begins on May 15, 1941 against Chicago. Don Larsen's 2-0 Perfect Game Win on October 8th in Game 5 of The 1956 World Series against the Dodgers. October 1, 1961 - Roger Maris sets a New Record with 61 Home Runs. Mickey Mantle hits his Historic 565 ft. shot off the facade on May 22, 1963. Capacity of 67,205, as of 1958.OUT

97703 - 1996 "FENWAY PARK" lidded stein. The 3rd in the series. Built in 1912 and home of the fabled "Green Monster," Boston's cozy bandbox is the oldest Major League park still in use at the time.OUT
97704 - 1996 "EBBETS FIELD" lidded stein. The 4th in the series. From 1913 until 1957, tiny Ebbets Field was a landmark in Brooklyn, home of the borough's beloved Dodgers and the scene of some of baseball's greatest (and wildest) moments. Sept 16, 1924 - St Louis' Jim Bottomley drives in a Record 12 Runs as the Cardinals beat the Dodgers, 17-3. In the 1st Night Game in Brooklyn on June 15, 1938 - Cincinnati's Johnny Vander Meer pitches his 2nd consecutive No-Hitter defeating the Dodgers, 6-0. Brooklyn catcher Mickey Owen drops the Game Winning Strike in Game 4 of The 1941 World Series, giving the Yankees a 2nd chance to win this game on October 5, and ultimately The World Championship. 97705 - 1997 "COMISKY PARK" lidded stein. The 5th in the series. Built in 1910, Chicago's legendary South Side park hosted the very first All-Star Game in 1933 and witnessed the White Sox 1917 World Championship.OUT
97706 - 1997 "POLO GROUNDS" lidded stein. The 6th and last in the series. The home of the old New York Giants from 1891 to 1963, this legendary park witnessed Bobby Thomson's "Shot Heard Round the World," Willie May's "The Catch" and a host of other historic moments. October 14, 1905 - Christy Mathewson Shuts Out Philadelphia 2-0 to win The World Series in 5 Games. It is Mathewson's 3rd Shutout in 6 days. Rube Marquard defeats Brooklyn 2-1 on July 3, 1912 for his Record 19th straight Win in 1 season. July 2, 1933 - Carl Hubbell pitches his famous 18 Inning Shutout as the Giants defeat the Cardinals, 1-0. Carl Hubbell becomes an All Star legend by striking out Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Simmons and Cronin in succession at the All Star Game on July 10, 1934. Bobby Thomson hits the "Shot Heard 'Round The World" on October 3, 1951 as the Giants defeat Brooklyn 5-4 for the 1951 National League Pennant. Willie Mays makes the most famous Over - Shoulder Catch in Baseball history, during Game 1 of the World Series against Cleveland on Sept 29, 1954. Capacity of 55,987.$48.00

CS682 - 2007 Busch Stadium lidded stein. This 9" lidded stein was made in Brazil by Ceramarte. Issued to comemmorate 40 seasons (1966 - 2005) at Busch Stadium. The stadium was demolished after the 2005 season to make way for the new stadium built in 2006. Busch stadium had been home to the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, the Football St. Louis Cardinals and briefly the St. Louis Rams. The stadium opened on May 12, 1966. The stadium hosted the 1966 All Star game as well as the 1967, 1968, 1982, 1985, 1987 and 2004 World Series championships. Artist Julie Gaidis designed this truely magnificent stein which features the lower portion of the stein base in the shape of the stadium itself, with it's arched roofline. The upper part of the stein, including the lid, forms the shape of a baseball. Logos of the St. Louis Cardinals are along the base and the pewter thumblift. The ceramic insert in the pewter lid features the top half of the baseball. The handle is in the shape of a baseball bat. Individually numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Gift boxed.OUT
