Michael Ricker was an internationally acclaimed artist and sculptor who was
regarded as one of the most collected artists in the world.
His passion for sculpting and casting in pewter began in the 1970's and continued until his sudden and unexpected death in early 2006.

GDM - 1993 "General Douglas MacArthur" lidded stein. "Return to the Philippines". Part of the Military Legend series of steins. This 10 3/4" lidded stein features General Douglas MacArthur walking with his men through water, as he leaves a troop carrier arriving on the beach. The very heavy pewter lid features MacArthur as he holds his infamous corn cob pipe. The word "MacArthur" is incised into the lid with raised stars all around the lid. Stein was made in China and the pewter figurine attached to the lid, was made in the USA. Only 1500 were made of this stein and this one is numbered 182/1500, on the back of the lid. GDDE - 1994 "General Dwight D. Eisenhower" lidded stein. Operation Overlord " 11th Hour Visit". Part of the Military Legend series of steins. This 10 3/4" lidded stein features General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Supreme Allied Commander, with his men on the 11th hour before the invasion. Prelude to Operation Overlord Operation Overlord was the code name for the invasion of northwest Europe during World War II by Allied forces. The operation began with the Normandy Landings on June 6, 1944 (commonly known as D-Day), among the largest amphibious assaults ever conducted. Nearly 160,000 troops crossed the English Channel on June 6, landing more than 3 million troops by the end of August. The very heavy pewter lid features "Ike" saluting. The word Eisenhower is incised into the lid with raised stars all around the lid. Not sure where the stein body was made. The pewter figurine attached to the lid, was made in the USA. GGGP - 1996 "General George G. Patton" lidded stein. "Operation Husky" On The Beaches of Gala, Sicily July 12, 1943. Part of the Military Legend series of steins. This 11" lidded stein features General George E Patton with his men, 3 days after Operation Husky began. The Allied invasion of Sicily, codenamed Operation Husky, was a major World War II campaign, in which the Allies took Sicily from the Axis (Italy and Nazi Germany). It was a large scale amphibious and airborne operation, followed by six weeks of land combat. It launched the Italian Campaign. The very heavy pewter lid features General Patton holding a pair of binoculars. The word "Patton" is incised into the lid with raised stars all around the lid. The stein body was made in Thailand. The pewter figurine attached to the lid, was made in the USA. Only 200 were made of this stein and this one is numbered 183/200, on the back of the lid. Exclusive design by Michael Anthony Ricker.
