DU87 - 1987 WOOD DUCKS Duck's Unlimited lidded stein. This 9" lidded stein was made in Brazil by Ceramarte. The 1st edition in the Waterfowl series of steins. Individually numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Came in a wooden pine box. (*** Wooden boxes were used for the 1st two steins in the series. After the knowledge got out that the wood came from the Brazilian Rain Forests, the wooden boxes were discontinued and generic cardboard boxes were used from then on. ***) Some of the boxes may have splits in the wood. Some of the steins also came in a generic cardboard box.

CUI never continued the series. Renowned wildlife artist Donald Boncela accurately details a pair of 1930's mallard decoys from one of our most honored carvers, Bert Graves. Ceramic insert in lid has an A&Eagle logo with the state outline of Michigan. CS 384 - 1999 Mississippi Flyway Ducks Unlimited lidded stein. The 1st in Budweiser's Ducks Unlimited Waterfowl Flyway series of 4 steins. This 8 3/4" lidded stein was made in Brazil by Ceramarte. The stein showcases the Mississippi Flyway and its wide variety of waterfowl species. Three paintings featuring the Mallard, the Wood Duck and the Snow goose encircle the body of the stein. A 4th illustration, of the Lesser Scaup, is displayed on a ceramic inlay in the stein's pewter lid, which is etched with a flock of waterfowl. The handle depicts a waterfowl taking flight. M97 - 1997 Welcome to Paradise stein. The 3rd and final in Terry Redlin's Ducks Unlimited series of steins. This 7" stein features the Lakeside Bait Shop with a jeep pulling a boat out front. The sign on the tree states " Welcome to Paradise Lake ". The store owner in this backwoods retreat is a true entrepreneur, offering everything a sportsman might need: cane fishing poles, decoys, guns, shells, fuel, refreshments, groceries. While the visiting hunters are inside stocking up, the main action appears overhead as a flock of mallards set their wings in break and flutter down for a night's rest. Notice the pole flag at the rear of the jeep. Personal experience has informed the owner that vehicles left in high grass can be easily misplaced after the day's hunt. Careful observers also will see the tree sign listing the population of Paradise at thirteen. This includes the dog resting in front of the store, but does not imply any bad luck for sportsmen who have found their way to Paradise. Raised relief around the top and bottom borders.
