"The Doomsday Machine," Episode #35 was first broadcast on October 20, 1967. Artist, Paul Youll, through his dramatic painting technique, recreates one of the most exciting moments from this episode. An ancient weapon that originated from outside of our galaxy, smashed planets to rubble and used the matter as fuel. The crew of the U.S.S Enterprise attempt to destroy the machine before it can reach the most densely populated areas of our galaxy. This 8" lidded stein has raised relief symbols from the original TV series. Features the mighty Romulan Warbirds as seen in "The Defector" Episode #58 originally aired the week of January 1, 1990 as part of the third season of STAR TREK: The Next Generation. Artist Paul Youll returns with a dramatic visualization of a climatic encounter between the U.S.S. Enterprise and Romulan warships, as seen from the perspective of the mighty Starship. The episode portrays the Romulans threatening to seize control of the Neutral Zone. Captain Picard leads the Starship to the area and faces three Romulan warbirds and their demand that he surrender ... or die. This 9 1/8" lidded is one of the Prototype Sample steins that were made for approval before the final stein went into production. The stein is the same as 97812, but has the same handle as "The Doomsday Machine" lidded stein above and does not have writing on the bottom, only notations. This stein appears to be the 4th sample, as the 5th sample was sent to Licensing 7/29. Made in Brazil by Ceramarte for Longton Crown. No box or certificate.

Part one of "Redemption" Episode #99 was first broadcast the week of June 17, 1991 and tells the story of how Lieutenant Worf and his brother defeat a Romulan-backed Klingon rebellion in a climatic deep-space confrontation and restore their family honor. This completes the trilogy begun in "Sins of the Father" and continued in "Reunion." A stunning image by artist Paul Youll captures two Klingon spacecraft against a fiery deep-space explosion. The handle is a Klingon bat'leth (Sword of Honor), and the thumbrest on the pewter lid bears the proud Symbol of the Klingon Empire.
