HCAH - 1994 " Almost Home " Christmas stein. This 5" stein was made in the USA for The Hadley House. In this nostalgic scene the artist reminds us of both a less complicated time, and a more innocent time, in our nation's history. The rural family is returning home on a crisp winter evening. As the sun's rays begin to disappear behind the distant tree line the sleigh has momentarily stopped. There is just enough light to gather up a little extra wood for that evening's celebration. HCWW - 1995 " Winter Wonderland " Christmas stein. This 5" stein was made in the USA for The Hadley House. On this magical winter evening the wind is still and the temperature mild enough for kids to fashion both snowmen and snowforts. As Mom and Dad begin a sleigh ride, their daughter points the way. Or has she just released a playful snowball? In either case, we are presented with a true " Winter Wonderland " and the beginning of beautiful new memories. Individually numbered.OUT
HCBF - 1996 " Best Friends " stein. This 5 3/4" stein was made in the USA for The Hadley Collection. At sunset the man and his best friend have driven to the crest of the highest hill around. They�ve had a good day of hunting in the lakes and marshes below. Now both rest, but the man carefully watches the migrating patterns of the distant waterfowl. Tomorrow he�ll have a better idea of where the best hunting will likely be. In this spectacular panorama we see a beautiful slice of rural America. Just follow the winding road past the gas station, then the bait shop, the farms, over the bridge and home to a town with its typical water tower and church steeple. Did not come boxed.$24.00
HCCOH - 1997 " Comforts of Home " lidded stein. This 8 1/4" lidded stein was made in China for The Hadley Collection. Part of the Perfect Getaway series of steins. This rustic lakeside cabin is far enough from the city to create a sense that civilization has been left far behind, but not so distant to make the return trip a burden. The weather will always be just right for either fishing or hunting. The boat is ready. The dog is waiting. And the sunsets, of course, will be outstanding. HCEWF - 1997 " Evening With Friends " lidded stein. This 8 1/4" lidded stein was made in China for The Hadley Collection. Part of the Perfect Getaway series of steins. On this peaceful winter evening, a 1930 vintage sedan with headlights ablaze has finally reached its destination. The occupants will be visiting with old friends in the cabin. Nestled on the bluff the deer quietly watch, both part of and apart from the whole experience. HCSTS - 1997 " Sharing The Solitude " lidded stein. This 8 1/4" lidded stein was made in China for The Hadley Collection. Part of the Perfect Getaway series of steins. In this idyllic scene the artist invites us to share, along with the cabin inhabitants and their camping visitors, one of those rare nights in the deep woods. The high moon has momentarily broken out from the clouds, turning the snowy landscape to bright day. The surrounding silence provides, for those of contemplative nature, a perfect setting for the primitive message contained in the flickering campfire. HCSS1 - 1997 " Sharing Season 1 " lidded stein. This 8 1/2" lidded stein was made in Brazil by Ceramarte for The Hadley Collection. The spirit of sharing is beautifully extended to the world of nature in this holiday scene. To help wildlife survive the winter the farmer has temptingly placed two corn shocks at the open side of his house. A welcoming wreath hangs near the door for human visitors. And a Christmas tree warmly beckons in the window as two late-leaving mallards glide down for a needed meal. The Dome shaped lid features a raised floral design around the lid with raised Terry Redlin letters twice around and 2 mallards on top. HCTST - 1999 " That Special Time " lidded stein. This 8 7/8" lidded stein was made in China for The Hadley Collection. For Terry Redlin this illustration holds warm memories of childhood when an uncle would take him fishing to many new and, to his young eyes, exotic places. This romantic rending is a composite of all those long ago fishing excursions. The older touring car and sporty roadster with rumble seat dates the scene as sometime in the 1930�s. The Sunnyside Inn was an actual resort near the artist�s hometown in eastern South Dakota. The time is early evening, the mallards are coming in, and our fishing party is the first one off the lake. They have disappeared inside, probably for a bite to eat. The ceramic insert on the lid features a raised rowboat with a ramp. Individually numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity. In this peaceful scene the children excitedly point out the mallards flying low overhead. The proud Belgians, the warmly bundled family, the crisp country air and the fading sun all convey the essential meaning of " pleasures of winter. This 7" stein features the Lakeside Bait Shop with a jeep pulling a boat out front. The sign on the tree states " Welcome to Paradise Lake ". The store owner in this backwoods retreat is a true entrepreneur, offering everything a sportsman might need: cane fishing poles, decoys, guns, shells, fuel, refreshments, groceries. While the visiting hunters are inside stocking up, the main action appears overhead as a flock of mallards set their wings in break and flutter down for a night's rest. Notice the pole flag at the rear of the jeep. Personal experience has informed the owner that vehicles left in high grass can be easily misplaced after the day's hunt. Careful observers also will see the tree sign listing the population of Paradise at thirteen. This includes the dog resting in front of the store, but does not imply any bad luck for sportsmen who have found their way to Paradise. Raised relief around the top and bottom borders. An early winter snow has covered the ground, but melted as it fell on the still open lake. The cabin owners have shoveled their walk and driveway and no longer use the warm weather balcony.
